Who are we anyway?
AuthN by IDEE enables people, organizations, and systems to quickly, privately, securely, and safely use the worlds-first 100% passwordless and 100% phish-proof identification, authentication, and authorization solution.
Founded in 2015 IDEE is already recognized as a technology leader, serving highly regulated financial giants such as Deka Bank with its privacy-first approach to identity access.
Privacy means it collects and stores zero personally identifiable information (PII) from end users, uniquely solving the most urgent and age-old industry problem of account take over attacks with slick, frictionless and quick-to-deploy solutions.

Al Lakhani
Founder & CEO
Al is an Indian-born New Yorker in Lederhosen
(yes, he really does wear Lederhosen quite frequently and we have the photos)!
Before IDEE
Prior to IDEE, Al founded the forensics & cyber practice at Alvarez & Marsal, which during his time, grew to 65 professionals and $35 million a year in revenue.
Al’s most notable projects included the wind down of Lehman Brothers and Washington Mutual, asset quality reviews for the Spanish, Greek, and Irish banks, the reopening of the Bank of Cyprus in 2013, and interim COO of Rubicon Global.
More than 25 years of cyber forensics
With more than 25 years of experience in cyber forensics, Al is a proven expert in the field of cybercrime and data forensics and has spent more than 26 thousand hours during his career working on the topic of digital identities.
Al also taught applications of blockchain technology at Munich University.
Dennis Okpara
Chief Security Architect
Dennis was super crazy about the IDEE vision and novel approach to solving one of the biggest problems in cybersecurity - “the password and fake identity”. As a result, he joined forces with Al in 2015 and became IDEE’s very first employee.
The one with the ginormous brain
Today, Dennis drives IDEE's overall security and is responsible for ensuring that the appropriate security strategy, controls, and processes are in place to safeguard IDEE's products and infrastructure. Basically, Dennis is the one with the ginormous brain and knows so much regulation and is fluent in so many standards that we would need an entire separate webpage just to list them all.
Certified, certified, certified, ∞
Dennis holds an MSc. Information Security (Distinction) from Royal Holloway, University of London. He’s a certified information systems security professional (CISSP), certified information security manager (CISM), AWS certified security specialty, Microsoft certified Azure security engineer and so many others. Dennis is a systemic thinker who envisions the whole pattern of change rather than static snapshots. He’s an inventor and has co-authored four patents on digital identity and insider threat prevention.
Company Story
IDEE translated into German, means 'idea'. The idea = IDentity.
As company stories often go, it all started with a dream. A passion. A goal, to make digital identities secure. From this first step and with new innovative and patented technology, IDEE set off on its journey. There were many meandering paths. There were several twists and turns, but as you can see, a winding road eventually always brings us to our natural destination. For IDEE that destination is MFA 2.0. The goal remains the same.
